Named after the Bighorn Mountains and the big antlers that can abide in those mountains, elk like this are what a hunter dreams about. This watercolor painting is a departure from my typical media of acrylic. It was fun to play with the positive and negative spaces. It also turned out nice to have the elk break free from the box. This monochromatic painting was a fun one to paint.
