Ravens are symbolic of the dark and evil. I’m not sure if they’re evil, but they’re not the nicest bird around. They steal eggs, kill young animals, and clean up dead things. It’s the job that God gave them. Creepy and cool at the same time, ravens have their place. I wanted the mood of this painting to be dark and eerie like a hill that is occupied by a raven.
